On April 10th at Yas Island Abu Dhabi UAE, Fans of The Ultimate Fighting Championship will witness one of the organization’s greatest events ever, as middleweight titleholder Anderson "The Spider" Silva faces the extraordinary BJJ of Demian Maia. Lightweight champion BJ Penn looks to continue his dominant reign when he takes on Frankie Edgar in the double main event of UFC 112.
Also, two legends meet for the first time when future UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes battles ground fighting master Renzo Gracie. UFC 112 INVINCIBLE – Saturday, April 10, only on Pay-Per-View at 10p ET/7p PT.
As Abu Dhabi braces up for the ultimate in fighting, preparations are now complete at the fighting arena.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship UFC 112 Invincible will be held outdoors for the first time and the organisers Flash Entertainment have left no stone unturned for the biggest event in contact sport.
Flash Entertainment have laid out the trademark UFC Octagon—the eight-sided ring with the chain link fence at the Concert Arena of Ferrari World, Yas Island. They have also specially constructed a 12,000 capacity spectator arena from where fans can watch the action.
Two UFC World titles will be at stake for this event. Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva and BJ ‘The Prodigy’ Penn put their UFC championships on the line in two fascinating title matches.
The stadium site was officially handed over on Thursday to Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Marshall Zelaznik, Managing Director of International Expansion, by Ossama Khoreibi, Chairman of Flash Entertainment and John Lickrish, Managing Director of Flash Entertainment.
